Weekend series review 4/25-4/27

Swing and a miss on the Brewers this weekend. 

Friday (Brewers lost, pick won) Brewers 2 - Cardinals 3. Called this one pretty close. Nootbaar, Scott, and Gorman all contributed and Liberatore went 6 innings striking out 4.

Saturday (Brewers lost, pick lost) Brewers 5 - Cardinals 6. Priester and Gray only combined for 6 strikeouts in this one and most of the runs were scored in the 9th. The Brewers came back to tie before the Cardinals walked it off.

Sunday (Brewers won, pick won) Brewers 7 - Cardinals 1. Quintana got the win, but only went 5 innings with 6 strikeouts. The Brewers plate 3 in the first inning and coasted the rest of the game against an ineffective lineup for St Louis.

Key stat from the series - Take the lead, take the game. Brewers played from behind for all of the first two games of the series.
