Weekend series Preview 5/2-5/4

Kansas City Royals -110 / Baltimore Orioles -110

Pick: BAL -110

Key Stat - 7/8/9th inning runs

Friday - Wacha/Kremer - Orioles WIN

Wacha has been around for a while now and this Orioles lineup has seen quite a bit of him. Run support will absolutely be a factor, but Wacha is having a middling type of year and Mountcastle and crew should be able to get to him and then feast on the bullpen late.

Saturday - Bubic/Sugano - Orioles WIN

This game should go the way of Sugano, if he can pitch into the 6th or 7th inning and protect the bullpen, the Os will have a shot. Bubic is pitching well and should keep baserunners to a minimum, leaving it up to the bottom of the Os lineup to work the bullpen for a second day in a row.

Sunday - Lorenzen/Gibson - Orioles LOSE

Gibson had the inevitable position of starting his career against a Yankees team who wasted no time in introducing him to the league. I can’t imagine the Royals treat him any differently and Sunday’s game might need to heavily rely on the bullpen. The royals will most likely put up enough early to clear the hurdle and win this game.

Other series worth a look:

Braves (+145) over Dodgers (-180)

Cubs (-115) over Brewers (-105)
