Tuesday Turn Three 6/24/25

Tuesday Night National Game - Washington Nationals @ San Diego Padres (9:40 PM ET, MLB Network). The late game on MLB Network features a west coast team (!) as the Nationals visit Petco Park. The Padres will send rookie right-hander Ryan Bergert to the mound, who has been impressive in his first few starts. He'll face the veteran Trevor Williams for the Nationals, who is looking to get back on track following 4 consecutive games without a quality start.

Hitter 1 - Fernando Tatis Jr. (San Diego Padres)

Tatis Jr. gets a favorable matchup tonight against Nationals' starter Trevor Williams, who has struggled this season with a 5.54 ERA. While Tatis has surprisingly poor numbers against lefties this year, he has mashed right-handed pitching to the tune of a .303 average and .530 slugging percentage, with 12 of his home runs coming against righties. This is a great spot for him to showcase his power at home.

Tatis Jr. 1+ Home Run +270

Hitter 2 - CJ Abrams (Washington Nationals)

The former Padre returns to San Diego as the Nationals' most dynamic offensive player. Abrams has been excellent against right-handed pitching this season, hitting .292 with 7 home runs and an .897 OPS. He faces Padres' rookie RHP Ryan Bergert. While Bergert has been good (1.87 ERA), he's still an inexperienced arm, and the speedy Abrams is a good bet to use his contact skills to get on base and make things happen.

Abrams Over 1.5 Total Bases +125

Pitcher - Ryan Bergert (San Diego Padres)

The Padres rookie has been fantastic since his call-up, posting a 1-0 record with a 1.88 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over his first four starts. He has a prime matchup tonight against a Nationals team that has struggled offensively this season. His strikeout numbers have been solid (7.13 K/9), and his strikeout prop is sitting at a very attainable line of 4.5. This is a great opportunity to back a hot young pitcher in a favorable matchup.

Bergert Over 4.5 Strikeouts +115
