Turn Three Tuesday
Tuesday gives us the chance to reflect on the week that will be. With Monday conquered, lets turn our energy to sports! MLB has given us a national broadcast game for Tuesday, and that allows us to look at some under the radar players you can actually sit down and watch today!
The TBS National Broadcast game this Tuesday Night is the Philadelphia Phillies headed to Queens to take on the New York Mets. These NL East rivals met Monday night for the first game of a 3 game set. Tuesday’s matchup is expected to be Cristopher Sanchez vs Griffin Canning, both undefeated in their last two starts. The Mets have seen Sanchez before, and they will be hoping to build on a strong Monday performance at the plate.
Alec Bohm is batting an icy .193 so far this season after a 2024 campaign that saw him hit .280 with 15 home runs. I think its time for Bohm to get the train on the tracks for 2025 against Canning and the Mets. With hits in each of the last seven games, but no home runs yet this season, The big 3rd basemen will start the fireworks for a Phillies team that wins on the day. >Bohm 1+ HR +800
Trea Turner has been dealing with some frustrations at the plate as he deals with teams who just don't like him. Targeted often by the Marlins, Turner is 0-2 career against Canning, but that wont matter Tuesday. Turner is batting .273 so far this season and has hit safely in 8 of the last ten games. I like Turner to put together a good effort Tuesday and collect a couple hits to help the Phillies offense get started. >Turner 2+ hits +235
The pitcher to watch in this one is Cristopher Sanchez. With 31 strikeouts in 24.1 innings this year and an ERA sitting down at 2.96, Sanchez has faced the Dodgers, Cardinals and Giants so far this year and come away mostly unscathed, If he can control the strike zone early and keep his pitch count to a minimum through the first two turns in the order, the Phillies offense should be able to do enough to hand him a win. >Sanchez Over 7 Strikeouts +125
Best Bet: Phillies -125
