Hump Day Heroes 7/9/25

Hitter 1: George Springer (Toronto Blue Jays)

Springer has been on fire, batting .424 in July with five home runs and 13 RBI, and he's gone over 1.5 total bases in six of his eight appearances this month. Tonight, the Blue Jays face the Chicago White Sox and starter Adrian Houser. Springer has had limited success against Houser in his career (2-for-5 lifetime), and given his hot streak, this is a great spot to back him.

Springer Over 1.5 Total Bases -105

Hitter 2: Bryan Reynolds (Pittsburgh Pirates)

One of the Pirates' best hitters, Bryan Reynolds, is in a good spot tonight as the Pirates face the Kansas City Royals. Reynolds, a switch-hitter, will likely get at-bats from both sides of the plate against the starter and bullpen. He's been a consistent source of extra-base hits all season, and he's a prime candidate to anchor the Pittsburgh offense.

Reynolds Over 1.5 Total Bases +155

Pitcher: MacKenzie Gore (Washington Nationals)

Gore and his elite strikeout stuff get a good matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals tonight. Gore leads all of MLB with an incredible 36% strikeout rate. While the Cardinals are a solid lineup, Gore's ability to miss bats is second to none this season. He's a prime candidate to rack up the punchouts and put on a dominant performance.

Gore Over 6.5 Strikeouts +170
